How To Catch Catfish
How To Catch Catfish
You don’t have to be a fisherman or a professional catfish catcher to know how to catch catfish! There are plenty of tips that you can adopt to successfully catch them.
Generally, catfish are located in the ponds or lakes but, you won’t find them in every portion of the lake. So, in order to catch them you have to search for the perfect place in the lake or the pond. Basically, what fishermen do is that they look for layers of zooplankton or chlorophyll in the pond or lake, that is where most catfish huddle.
If you see dark green or black spots in the pond or lake then you can get ready with your weapon to hunt out some of the best catfish. If you can find the right location, it means you have won half of the battle.
Next, you need to know how to attract them towards you. But it’s not that easy to get them, as these fish can be quite clever! However, they have a weak point for awful and rotten smells, and this can be your biggest strength. Catfish cannot resist the small of rotten fishes.
The smell of rotten mackerels and shrimps is a big favorite with catfish. They drift towards this smell. All you have to do is just dry some mackerels and shrimps under the sun and once the rotten smell comes out, you have to use it as the bait.
The awful smell will force the catfish to come closer to the bait and at that point you just have to be ready with your hook. The hook must be pointed out so that it gets stuck in the mouth of the fish.
Other than fish there is another “smelly” food which catfish cannot resist, which happens to be rotten chicken or beef liver mixed with salt and garlic. This particular preparation is a really big weak point for catfish. Once you put the liver in the pond, they won’t be able to control themselves.
But, to learn how to catch catfish you have to be very cautious about the hook you are using. Spring fitted treble hook are the best for catching catfish. With these tips, you can easily go on to become a really successful catcher of catfish! After all, it is more fun to catch fish when you are just beginning as an amateur. So, go ahead and give your best shot and the catfish will be yours.
My buddy Dan Eggertsen has been studying this natural biological phenomenon for just over 5 years, and he’s made some startling discoveries.
Some of the guys that are actively following his steps are pulling up catfish hand over fist, and have vowed to keep this technique a secret.
Well, Dan has given me permission to give you access to it for free below.
